Hello,
Thank you for your interest in The Mitzvah Project Holocaust education program.
The 60-minute Mitzvah Project consists of a one-act solo play, lecture and talkback. It poses several critical socio-historical questions: “Who decides the meaning of culture, race and ethnicity?” “How is one’s identity determined?” “Why do we demonize ‘the other?’”
Using the power of live theater, three Broadway & Royal Shakespeare Company actors, trained as teaching artists and each with a powerful story about a family member who survived the Holocaust, are touring high schools and colleges engaging the next generation about the Holocaust and social justice.
The Mitzvah Project, designed to foster critical thinking and empathy, has been presented at well over 125 schools and institutions across California and the United States.
